I’m looking for anyone familiar with Navigate Herbicide - it’s used for ponds to control algae and nuisance weeds. I’m trying to help my dad find the cheapest place to purchase it - online or BR locally. This stuff is pricey but it has to be done or the pond will eventually be taken over and have to be drained. Even pricier! Any information that anyone can share would be great. Thanks so much!

Never heard of it but it is probably just a 2,4-D product. They spray a liquid formula of 2,4-D at Guntersville with helicopters to kill Eurasian Milfoil. 2,4-D is cheap.

There are other aquatic versions of 2,4-D that are much cheaper. Weedar 64 is one example.

What kind of weeds are you dealing with?

Watershield is what he is trying to kill. It grows on the bottom, so the biologist that came and looked at the pond and said to kill that particular type of weed he has to use the granular form of the chemical. I’m just trying to find it the cheapest I can for my dad - 195 a bag is what I’ve found on a site as the best price.

Let me check with my chemical rep tomorrow. If I can get a comparable one from them for cheaper, I'll shout at ya. Shoot me an email
