50ft x 11" bag rolls $20

Commercial grade sealer $199

If you're going to throw down a bill fiddy on a foodsaver you may just as well pay the extra fiddy bones for this one.

Seems the biggest bitch about the Foodsavers is over heating.

The Weston and Cabelas say they have a cooling fan

Gonna go with one of these.

My foodsaver is 6 years old, and was the top of the line model at the time. My parents just bought the mid-grade foodsaver this summer, and it's far superior to mine. Nevertheless, I use mine weekly and have learned to work around its quirks. I buy the bags on amazon. I get the biggest box they sell, which comes with 2 or 3 different width bags. Saves about 50% off Walmarks bag prices.

I put up over 200lbs of deer, and probably that much fish and other game every year. A good one is worth the investment in my opinion.

I have top of the line Foodsaver.Problem with it is if any moisture gets in the sealing area(and it usually does) it will not get hot enough to burn off the moisture to seal.

The weston one my friend has does it flawlessly.
