Not crazy about t-tops but hey if you like them, why not.

Blasphemy I wouldn't own a saltwater boat without one. Gets the rods out of the way, puts the VHF antenna out of the way and gives some shade on from the mid day heat. Plus gives your buddies something to hold onto while you are running.

I haven't even got to put it in the water yet. Saturday will be the first run. It draws like 14-16 inches of water so shallow water isn't its strong point. I like the shearwaters, but I have a buddy who had a blackjack then switched to a shearwater and he said he wanted is blackjack back for rougher seas. I will post how it runs saturday evening.

OhFace, I totally understand that. That is the exact opposite reason I bought the shearwater. I fish primarily in the fall and winter in the marshes for the most part. If I take it out in the spring and late summer it is only out in the near shore bays. 2 ft chop is about all I can take in it. I bought it for speed and shallow drafting. I can go in 8-10" of water with jack plate up and trim tabs down. Can get on plane in about 20" of water. Anyway enough about mine where are you taking it out saturday? I am planning on going sunday. Hope everything works out for you and the boat and it runs great. Just be careful of low water!

And Bayoudude I don't like the t-tops because I stay inside and they just get in the way for me when I have 3 or 4 other people on my boat. Also I don't have radar and vhf and all that on mine. Don't have a problem with them just find them impractical for my use.
