re: Most badass thing you've done in the outdoors

I was attacked by a ground monster a month ago. We have big bears and I had already pissed one off earlier that year and it broke off a branch and snapped his jaw at me, ( my ten year old daughter and I must have got too close to it when we had to change fields at dusk after getting bleeped by a doe.) it is very dark and all I have is my cap light. I hear rustling in the brush. It sounded like a big snake moving around the ground by the road or like a bunch of little pigs. I make some noise it moves towards me, I make more noise it keeps coming, I start yelling making aggressive sounds, keeps coming towards me. Finally I have enough put up warning shot, it keeps coming at me. I can see shite but it is getting closer and now fear is a factor as I know everyone else has already gone home and I am in the middle of the woods with a dead cell phone. I take my 30-06 a fire into the bush where noise is coming from as I am now a little rattled and don't know what else to do. It stops finally. I get the hell out of there. It was ......(you tell me)
