Many greenheads and woodies
were smashed off the airline between Gramercy and Garyville in the 80’s. Salvinia choked out all the holes and duckseed mostly disappeared, followed by the big ducks

Isn't there a diversion that's supposed to happen on Hope Canal? Does anyone know whats the status, or even still in the works?

It could really help flushing that place out, but I think it needs to be dried and burned annually.

Need plenty diversions. I’d love to pump into the swamp off the BC levee on the east side. Used to pound mallards in there off hot water back in the day. Now it’s a dead zone. All the LaBranche wetlands are
