Nov. 13, 2019 - The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) approved a resolution adding 1,475 acres to Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area (WMA) through donation during its November meeting here Thursday (Nov. 7) in Baton Rouge. Resource Environmental Solutions donated the land, located primarily in Livingston Parish.
The addition of the property will give Maurepas Swamp 119,204 acres west and south of Lake Maurepas. To see the resolution, go to https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/action-items.

Won't be long before all of us between Baton Rouge and New Orleans are living in Maurepas WMA.

The company probably made a mint off this property with mitigation credits. Now it’s too expensive to maintain due to salvinia so they donated it.

They've been talking and "studying" this shite for almost 20 years. They haven't started on shite. They will let it die before they break ground on anything.
