General background investigations, pre-employment background checks, gaming employee background checks, investigations for certain professional schools, background investigations for professional licenses, background investigations for anything dealing with children, military background investigations (security clearance, etc.). There are a myriad of reasons why folks need to get fingerprinted.

I got fingerprinted at HQ in December and received my permit in March. I'm glad they've sped up their turnarounds.
