Looking to take kids fishing near causeway

I want to take my boys fishing and get the boat out.is now a good time to go to causeway from mandeville? I have heard there are some structures South of Lacombe.

Also, structures off the mouth of Bayou Lacombe were pulled up a while back. Shell pads still on the bottom if you have coordinates

Wait 3-4 months until the lake purges itself from the BC Spillway opening
