I started my hunting career in the early 80s wearing my school jacket and pulling a camo t shirt over it to be camo.
I’ve used Browning hydro fleece and Cabelas Berber fleece for years. Both worked well. Son bought me a Sitka jacket with his shop discount a few years back. The old stuff doesn’t even compare.
If you can afford it and spent a lot of time in the field, get the high end stuff. Less bulk, more warmth.
A 30 degree day with a light rain in the Deep South is extremely cold. Quality gear will keep you in the woods longer. Also nice in Wyoming when the wind is blowing 30 mph and it’s 20 degrees.
