Nah. I just don't know if I agree.
It depends on where and how you hunt ducks I suppose.

Funny you mention that....I grew up shooting an 1100 20ga (2 3/4) (using lead - I'm old). No problems with decoying birds in the marsh with that...I have 3 1100s in my gun cabinet. Good guns.

Biggest problem can be finding 2 3/4 inch steel shells after the first split sometimes.

Yeah, steel shot kind changed thinks for a while, but some the modern shot types make up for steel's problems. And if you load your own, you can save some money and make a 20ga shell that will work fine for even big ducks at range.

Go with an auto just not the Rem 1100. I have a Beneli and I have yet to have it jam hell I can't remember the last time I cleaned it.
