I'm looking to find a lake temperature gauge to leave permanently on a freshwater dock, but don't see many available.

I'd be fine with electrical or battery operated and I'd like to be able to get the temp on one unit at both 5' and 10' if possible. Separate units at each depth would be okay too.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

I imagine any probe that is left in the water all the time will build up a layer of algae over it making it not as accurate. But this is based on 0 research. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck!

do you just want a read out or does it need to be WIFI?
If you just want a read out, get a battery operated meat thermometer with a long lead and drop it in, just mark your depths on the lead.

pretty sure if you have a location you own the weather service will be glad to set up a weather station there and it would be accessible info online

another option is to just buy one of these LINK

Thanks, I don't need wifi, just something to look at during the cooler months.

Also, I can take the lead up to stop the algae growth. I just want to make sure the display can last outdoors under a covered dock.
