With hunting season starting this weekend I have to take the wife fishing so she doesn’t think I’m selfish(of course I’m not) so I thought I’d try Lake Decade area. I fished there a few years back with pretty good luck but my last few trips haven’t been very successful. Anyone out there have any reports or been lately to know if there running. Also, Monday is the only day she can go, so how much luck do u think we will have after this front? If not Lake decade any where else wearing them out. I could be off the hook for leaving her fir hunting for quite a while if I amaze her with a bountiful day

Decade was hot a month ago. It's hit or miss right now. If they're not in Decade, go a little further to Menchant.

Duck season open in the AM there; it will be beat up with mud boats running all over.

Front coming Monday. I'd go tomorrow, but I intentionally get a "late" start. Hunters generally pick up about 9:00 or so.

I haven't been since the end of Oct. but for 4 trips we were catching limits in Sister Lake under the birds. Most of the time we were on the east third of the lake.

Had the most success with Berkley coastal candy bait under a cork.
