I'll do that, wasn't aware they had them. Not familiar with the range itself

It's $10 and you have to shoot their bullets through the rental.

The range only has specific guns for rental purposes. The rest are for sale.

I highly doubt they have a subcompact Kimber 1911 for rent. They have a full sized imported one (I forget the brand) and the sights were way off when I shot with my dad a long time ago. But that wouldn't really give you any indication of how a subcompact aluminum-framed 1911 would shoot.

You'll probably have to go on word-of-mouth until you buy one. Unfortunately, that's all we have in the gun world because you can't shoot a gun before you buy it. That would make it "used" even though they shoot a test round at the factory anyway.

But the good thing is, if most people say it's a sweet shooter, it probably is. And if John Browning designed it, it's fricking awesome.

Really?

Only reason I like it is because I can shoot it better than other semis.

It was the first I learned on, and my first handgun at 21 so I have some attachment to the design.

It's heavy as frick for such a small round, and is a huge hunk of steel. But I will say that the fixed-barrel, open slide design is one of the smoothest I have ever fired. If there's a round a 9mm fits like a glove, it's the 92, as does the .45 ACP with a 1911.

But I will say in terms of carry and CC, the 92 doesn't fit the bill as well as others. But in terms of recreation, I can shoot the shite out of it all day long.

First off, why would you conceal carry? You want them things out for all the world to see. So what if now they know your armed. Have the training to be able to handle yourself and you can walk around with your guns and cock out

Now if you would have said " your trying is to hard" I could have offered to try and soften my try a little bit.
