I rarely kill em out in the wild either, unless one decides to stroll through camp.

It fascinates me how they KNOW just how badass they are, break and run, just ain't on their list of things to do . I have a lot of respect for that.

Cottonmouths, that's another story. I hate those bastards, he's a militant SOB that also KNOWS what he has and comes looking for a fight. I have killed hundreds of them and expect to kill hundreds more. I keep a little Ruger 10-22 in my boat for just that purpose.

I stepped on a non poisonous snake as a kid. I didn't know at the time so I stayed there with it pinned and waited as my brother got a shovel. It was scary.

Yep. There's a reason snakes are associated with the devil.

I hate watching them crawl. Friend had a boa an I'd watch it move on the concrete. The way it moves its muscles to move is disturbing for some reason.

Yeah I can't abide a cottonmouth or a copperhead. I see them. They die. frick them. But a rattler, at least he usually has the courtesy to warn you.

A well armed society, is a polite society.

Cottonmouths, are the thugs of the U.S. snake kingdom.

I wouldnt really say that. They are just protecting their habitat from anyone or anything that poses a threat to them. Ive never seen a snake that hunts humans. They always seem to get away if they can or warn you in the case of a rattler.

But I will agree that they do suck if you dont watch out for them.

If you have a gun, there is simply no reason to let a poisonous snake live on your property or in the area you frequent/hunt. NONE!

Come on Johnn, show me another snake that runs around wearing a black mask, brandishing his weapon anytime you get near him. He's a POS Thug if ever there was one.

I guess I can see where you are coming from. We had a lake in the back of our subdivision growing up so I got used to being around cottonmouths and copperheads all the time. Now I wasnt as stupid as one particular set of twins in our neighborhood that would chop off their heads with hatchets. I wasnt that brave(or dumb).
