Kayak fishing gift ideas

Best friend is being stationed at GTMO as of this fall. Many of you have already been helpful in giving direction about where to fish, etc... his bday comes up soon and I'd like to send him off with something helpful.
Background:
He's a hardcore kayak angler and plans to bring his Old Town Predator PDL with him. He is equipped from a tackle standpoint to handle anything inshore and nearshore (last couple of years spent in San Diego).
I'm currently considering 4 options but am open to other suggestions:
1. High capacity Low profile baitcaster for offshore work. Shimano Tranx, Daiwa Lexa, Okuma Komodo, etc...
2. Offshore spinning reel. Something in $500 ballpark. Pick your poison and brand
3. Depth finder. He is currently running a lowrance 7" hdi split screen I think. Was thinking about upgrading him to an elite ti2 7 totalscan but unsure how well that works on deeper structure
4. Badass knife like the benchmade meatcrafter
I have lots of other ideas but they'd be far more difficult to move to Cuba.

A good snorkeling kit. I know a lot of the guys there snorkel for lobster.

Not expensive but a pretty cool add on if you are sending multiple gifts- toadfish drink holder. Imagine it would work well on a Kayak surface. Check them out. Got one for Christmas and was skeptical but it is really good at adhering to surfaces. Have a 22'CS bayboat and it works well on my console.
