I just had something show up at the house that's going to make it hard to head west till he's dead or I get something equal or better out there.

As long as it takes, last time I went out first 2 weeks of November then it got warm so I came home ajd went back out Thanksgiving night and killed the following Wednesday. I doubt I'll don't that again though, I'm going to Iowa for late muzzleloader and plan on staying up there a couple weeks too.

It’s rare I can age a deer well but yesterday had a 2.5 year old 8 show up that’s gonna be a showstopper.

In sane frame was a small thick horn 8 that has to be 5.5 or older. Crazy different seeing the two side by side.

Cameras were full yesterday from noon till dark.

Getting a coon @ Crockett on camera. He must be 30 pounds.
I’ll head up sometime next week. I used to really enjoy hunting Kansas and looking forward to going back.

Debating on leaving late Thursday or early Friday. Ten day forecast looks great, hoping we hit it right.

Yep. We’ve got a good ten day going. Getting the wind forecast and planning my stands. It’s been over ten years since I’ve hunted Kansas and really looking forward to being back.

First sit. Cut beans behind me with a 8’ drop to a fallow field that hasn’t been planted in a couple of years. Bedding area. North central Kansas. I can hunt units 7&8. Saw a 150”+ on the drive up yesterday about 30 miles from the property I have access to

Rattled up two young 8 points into easy bow range from my Waldrop pac seat. First one crossed a bean field to me.
