Does anyone want me to make this an in-stock reloading thread, or is there really not much interest?

Could/should it fall in the Academy thread?

Dunno, not sure if anyone there is looking. Just gauging interest, looks like we can keep it in the Academy thread

Will those magnum primers work in .45acp and .357?
I can't seem to find any info on if they are interchangeable. I think this should remain its own thread since i don't think Academy sells any reloading supplies to speak of.

I'm not disagreeing, but it makes things tougher on RAT - keeping two threads updated with links, etc.

Yes, you can use a MAGNUM primer in place of a similar non-magnum/standard primer, but they're not interchangable. If you do so, you should redo the load development as changing from a standard to a magnum primer may change the powder's burning characteristics. What was previously a mid pressure load w/ a standard primer may become an excessive pressure load w/ a magnum primer. Accuracy may change, as well.
45 ACP usually uses standard primers (large pistol) while the 357 Magnum usually uses magnum (small pistol) primers.

I have used magnum primers if i had no other choice, I just reduce the powder charge to make up for the difference. now on the .357 and the .44 mag I always use magnum. I have never tried regular in those but i dont think that would work properly
