if most believe the rut begins around second week of November here every year?

I'm new to deer hunting.

No. There’s chasing a few weeks before the rut. Are you still seeing groups of bucks and one will break off and chase a doe off? If so that’s pretty normal.

I’m no expert and don’t know TN rut but deer start rutting early in certain parts of the same state. I’m pretty sure the whitetail rut is like August to January or February in different parts of the US.

I know when the rut is on at my place because I won’t see shite

About a week or two before the rut(pre-rut) is my favorite time to hunt at my place. Seen some good fights at that time but then will see them hanging out again.

It’s hard to say. It is very area specific. For example, the rut is on at my buddy’s property. My property is less than 10 miles away and rut won’t start until December.

I’ve never seen it that drastic but the deer I hunt in east Texas rut in October and the ones at my South Texas place is around mid December give or take a week. I think my hill country place is November but the whitetail suck so I don’t really hunt there during November.

November 7th is suppose to be the magical day in the Midwest, next week, so not early.

TN is not considered Midwest but there can't be too much difference.
