I'm not a big fan of cops, but if more of them were like these two I would consider becoming a fan. The guy is obviously a douche, who is probably a first time gun owner. Personally I do not want to see people carrying AR-15's all the time. Those places where this happens are called war zones, hopefully we don't become one here.

Part of "de-sensitizing", as you like to say (no hyphen needed for future notice), is easing people into things. Slowly making progression so that people aren't alarmed at the mere sight of a gun. Again, you wouldn't get slightly alarmed had you seen that goon with his man purse and all!?

Id just like a good reason why someone would open carry an AR slung across their back. "Because they can" is not a good reason. I can wear a coat when its 95 degrees outside but that doesnt make it a good reason
