A lot of the buy-backs seem to be held at churches. I guess the property owners have the right to "evict" other buyers from the site.

If people were to set up on a public street, near the buy-back site, seems like it would be harder for cops to run them off.

Any idea how many guns that get bought back are stolen?

Sheriff's office says they will run serial #'s on them and any that have been reported stolen will be returned to their rightful owner.

sure are a lot of restrictions for a program aiming to "curb" violence. criminals could get a much better return for their items on the street, and they know it. what a waste of time for a photo op with the local news crew!

I've got an old hi-point I paid $129 for in 2001. It jams after the 3rd round. I might just go get me that $100 they offering.

I would love to see numbers on participation.

I bet this is federally funded....
