I just had 7 sandhill cranes fly over. Those are the 1st ones I have ever seen while hunting. Those things are huge!

Meat hunting today, I've killed 2 does with gun, 1 $4,200 doe with my truck and 1 spikes. Unfortunately, I have been passing it on to family members. I had some deer sausage made and keep most the backstraps and tenderloins but I hear somewhere in Zachary they make deer boudin and I got to try some of that.

I wish it was that easy for me. I have never killed a buck with racks.

I hate you,

Nice

Dad just text and said he let an 8pt walk because he could see a second buck. Turned out to be a 6 and he's left holding a deer tag. Fwiw they were chasing a doe

Getting down to crunch time. This land will be logged in the spring and possibly sold :(
Unfortunatly that means a deer seen will be a deer shot at.

Got me a double this morning. 6pt chasing a heard of does. Shot him then a doe was dumb enough to stick around so I had to make her head spring a leak
