Nothing after he crossed the canal. Might be able to shoot a 3 legged deer later this year. First one I couldn’t retrieve since 2005.

Hate to hear that man. I have tracked an upper leg shot deer before, but it bled good then slowed down real quick. I watched the deer run about 20-30 yards then walked/trotted off.
He lived for another year, but he went under ground. The guy shot him in late December and the next pic was in February.

No. Nobody around here has dogs that I know of. We had 6 people make a move about 1/2 mile through the woods and didn’t see anything at all. Just gonna be on the lookout for a 3 legged deer

Louisiana blood trailing network on Facebook Promise there is someone that will come look for you. They are pretty competitive. They like the hard tracks (after rain, trampled,etc).

Sorry dude. Thought that was a dead deer from blood pics. Hope he makes it. Maybe you get another crack at him. Seems like from what others say he may lay low til late season.
