Central La

Saw 2 does this AM within 10 min of getting in lock-on. No deer after that, but I went for a little walk to explore and saw this guy. First one I’ve ever seen.

Pretty cool vid. I have never seen one in the wild that I know of. (I saw a snake that was ran over by a log truck in Issaquena county along the river, but I can’t remember the pattern when I was about 15)
Did you kill it? I’m not sure I would if I found one unless it was at the house. I have a 6 month old boy, so…..yea, I’d kill it around the house or barn.

No he’s still out there.
Videoed him, used an arrow to pull
him out of a woodpile to get a better look, then let him bury himself in the pine straw. I couldn’t kill him, as they seem so uncommon.

But I know where he was and I’m not likely going to go laying down on the ground around there!

I have seen 3 coral snakes.

First one was after I sat down next to a tree while Turkey hunting. I was moving some stick away from my feet and spotted it between my legs .... just 8 inches from my butt. I called my hunting buddy and his son to come see it.

The second one was while walking on a trail. The third one was in some thick piney woods. All 3 were seen in SW Louisiana.
