Is that a write up from you journaling your hunts? I used to do this and got out of the habit cause I got too rushed I guess. Found some old ones the other day and decided to slow down a bit and pick that back up. Good idea and after a few years you can start to really see some patterns.

We thought briefly that maybe we were pushing him due to how far he had gone and the amount of blood he was dropping. Almost considered pulling out to get the bow just in case he would be looking at us when we eventually caught up.

I definitely learned a lot from that track. He was laying down, just not dead yet. We had waited almost an hour to start so I thought that was plenty based on shot placement and what I found at the sight - was just one of those things. When he stood up I was definitely surprised - always bring my bow with me now just in case.
