I need to make some small hobbit doors that are about 47 by 30 for attic access from upstairs rooms. Do stores sell door jambs that I can cut down to fit inside of my opening? And what do I do about the door? I ain't ordering a $500 custom door to fit this opening. Solid core door?

Not that hard to take apart and cut it down.

Or just build your own jam. It isn't difficult.

1 more thing. It needs to be weatherproof since it will go from the room to the attic area. So I'll be installing a threshold and I guess weather stripping somehow.

I have done this, probably not to the magnitude you want to do it. I only had to take a couple of inches off door. I got the door at an incredible price and figured if I messed it up, oh well. I did the cutting and it worked fine.
