hunting clubs

I dont know but good luck finding, most of them have buddies and relatives in waiting

Good ones are hard to find because people don't usually get out of good ones, and if they do, they have a waiting list to join.

Find friends in good clubs, hunt with them as a guest, get on waiting list, and kiss arse (they are political usually).

You can check the classifieds, la sportsman, bayou bucks, etc, but your best bet is word of mouth.

The good ones don't advertise.



Btw: there is a stigma about guys from LA getting in leases that makes it that much tougher to get in a decent place if you dont know somebody. Not saying it right but its there.

Fortunately I did know somebody.

Also good luck with shaking the pre-conceived notion that Mississippi hunters have of hunters from Louisiana. I hunted in North Mississippi for 4 years and just got fed up with the bullshite, I got blamed for every empty beer bottle they found around the lease because I was originally from La so therefore i must be an alcoholic, got blamed for messing up a few guys turkey hunts and I don't turkey hunt nor was i within a 100 miles of the lease, i finally flipped a switch when they accused me of stealing a window unit out of someone's trailer. the only reason I put up with it was because the hunting was that good. Just make sure you find a place that's not full of a bunch of older Mississippi hicks.
