Well, as stated I didn't have my tacle box so didn't have any buzz baits to use. Fished with spinner bait till about 10 and caught 2 keepers and a ton of small ones all along the woodline across from the landing all the way down to Batchelor slough. Went out in the wind and fished points with a crank bait and caught 4 more. All between 2 and 4 lbs. Caught one big sac on a crank bait.

Forgive any typos, I just busted the creen on my phn and have about 1/4 of an inch of screen that still works. Not complaining though, I'm tickled to death cause I smell like fish

So why didn't you put your purse down and change the tire.

What color? And thanks, it looks like I might head that way tomorrow. I can't fish Wensday due to going to my transplant doctor.

Sexy shad. All the bass except for 2 were in at least 6' of water. The other two were in a foot or less and that was early. Water was about 8 degrees colder this morning that previously. Just about everybody I talked to was only catching small ones (less than 10 inches). Story is, buzz baits at first light is money. Should be real calm up till about 9 tomorrow then the winds will pick up again. Good luck (with the doc also) let me know what you catch.

Something else, all the bait fish I saw being chased were big shad. I didn't have anything big enough to match them but would be interesting to see how that would do. According to LMRF website, the river is gonna be steady then rise again. Might keep the fishing good for a while

A small rise followed by another fall would be pretty sweet for out there.

Sexy shad was the only color I couldn't get them to bite on the other day and they only wanted the deep diving crankbaits off the point. I ripped it as hard as I could to sink it quick and then worked it shallow as possible.

Last year I did good with a red eye pearl but have had better luck with sexy shad and chrome with a blck back. I fish 18lb line so I have a hard time getting a bait to dive deep enough. With the exception of white spinner baits, doesn't seem like anything is constant out there. Of course, lately with the pressure I'm sure those fish have seen just about everything

Even threw the Alabama rig a little bit today. Missed a good fish on it. No idea what kinda fish it was though. Considering where I was it could have been a striper

Do either of y'all fish the sandbar? I've heard of it, but don't know where it is (depthfinder on my boat doesn't work either). I know people load up on the bass and barfish there at a certain water level.

Woke up late and didn't make it to Old River, but I did hit a local Bar Pit off the Mississippi River. Cought only 4 Big Sacalait and missed a couple. I did get a few hits on a spinner bait. Even had a nice bass on till it poped my line. That's bank fishing for you.

I will get out on Old River Thursday and Friday. I should be staying at the camp. Now this all goes to shite if and what my doctors tell me.
