How does garbage disposal handle fish scales

First time to clean bream in my outdoor kitchen and don't wanna plug up the disposal. Thanks

I've seen people dump the whole lot of crawfish after a boil into the diposal, but I wouldn't do it

Probably depends on scale size and your drain. But I wouldn't ask for any under-house plumbing issues that I don't need

I wouldn't do it... Some redfish scales got into mine on accident and it ended up smelling the fish for a few days. Just bag that shite and go find a dumpster.

I dam sure wouldn't put scales in it but every now and then I run some water and bleach through it while it's on. Helps disinfect and eliminate odors.
