Honey Island Shooting Range HOPEFULLY to reopen Thanksgiving Weekend!

We received word today that the State will be turning the range back over to us tomorrow. We still need do a lot of setup and maintenance to the grounds. Grass hasn't been cut in over 2 months, need to ensure all of our solar/battery operated equipment is in working order and have to reset all the target hardware into the ground at the 100yd line for rifle and plates for pistol and rimfire. Also need to rebuild the protection fencing for the down-range clay throwers. I'm sure there's quite a bit of other things too.

We're hoping to have all this done in time to reopen for a full weekend after Thanksgiving, November 26-28.

We will reopen in WINTER hours. Friday 11a-4p. Sat/Sun 8a-4p.
