I had an 09 for ten years I sold and went through the same nonsense for a year. The little filter below your sensor is getting clogged and causing the sensor to not read the pressure. It's a pain to get to the sensor unless you cut back some plastic, but if you remove the sensor you can stick a 3" screw down in the hole and catch it in the filter screen and pull it out. Throw it away and never replace. I promise you will never have that problem again. There's some you tube videos on how to get to it with out dismantling everything. Good luck.

Thanks for all the help/suggestions.
I had them drop the oil pan and clean the screen, do an engine flush, and an oil change. They said there were metal shaving in the oil pan and tons of gunk that was clogging the lines/sensor.
Took a little less than $400 because I don’t have my own tools, but got it figured out. She drives like a dream now!

Glad to hear it. My mechanic has the unpopular opinion that the Chevy oil clock on those truck goes way too long. His recommendation was to do oil changes every 5,000-7,500 no matter what kind of oil and filter you use. He referenced a bunch of clients that dropped lifters, had oil sensor problems, other engine issues, etc., he thought we’re all related to too long of an oil change interval.

Always and always use a ac delco filter in a 5.3L AFM engine. We fixed several of them with a filter, then the OP screen.
I'm glad this fixed you, because usually it's the cam bearing over #7 or #8.
Next time, make sure no misfires on them if you can't fix it.
