I was curious to see if anyone has hunted the WMA, or had any useful info on the best way to go about duck hunting out there. I fish there all the time, and some of my employees have been fishing there recently and they say it sounds like a war zone with all the hunters, so there must be a lot of ducks out there. I'm guessing you launch on the left before the marina and just head out in the marsh.

My buddy has a gatortail so we would hunt out of it. Any tips would help. Thanks guys!

That area is for motors under 25HP. I went there over the weekend and it was not to good. But, they were killing alot before I went from what I heard.

I use to hunt out there a lot. It was always hit and miss. Eventually it was miss more than hit. Also had trouble with other hunters a few times.

I hunted it open morning and I have a bunch of friends that hunt it often. It's ok, can get really crowded but there are birds to be had. Takes a lot of scouting.

Do people hunt the marsh towards the sulfur mines? Or is it better to stay near grand bayou? I've seen hunters launch small boats from the marina, but never really paid attention to where they went.
