anybody use these academy brand cranks ? they are on sale right now but are pretty cheap at regular price. i had a couple in my hand yesterday but decided to put em back and buy another bandit. when i got home i looked em up on another board and apparently people love em !

When it comes to lures you get what you pay for. They're cheaply made! The SPRO brands are the best a lil pricy but worth every penny. They have a nose weighted balance to them giving them a more true feeding look and more resistance to hanging up in the grass. I'm a huge cranker and have used just ab every kind out there. By far the best I found yet.

I fish them quite a bit. Very good lures for the money. I do not find them cheaply made at all.

i was pretty surprised to see all the people raving about them on the other board. one guy actually did a pretty in depth comparison with the h20's vs. lucky crafts that was pretty impressive , the baits he used looked nearly identical and he claimed neither outfished the other. the luckys are $15 a pop. worth checking out imo

Interesting to read this thread subject. I just read another thread on this subject on a local board. LINK

I have tons of both the H2O and L.C. crankbaits and there are a few differences between the two...the bills on the H20 cranks seem to break easier than the LC's and the Lucky Craft baits have sharper hooks...although for the price its hard to pass up the H2O's (like I said i have about 20 of em)

I switch out hooks on most baits anyway. I hate bills breaking, however. For that price it would be a little more palatable though. Rapalas seem to give me the most bill breakage.
