I've been using the 100gr 1 1/2" cut for years and love them. Just make sure they are set right so that they will open properly. I've heard people who say theirs never fully expanded. I've never had that problem. Oh and keep them oiled if they are old.

i have shot grim reapers the past 2 years. Excellent broadheads, i dont shoot the 2" though, they need alot of speed. And i dont shoot speed. i shoot the smaller ones.

What's your draw length and how heavy are your arrows? Have you shot it through a chrono yet? Curious what kind of speed youre getting with that setup.

they shoot good, but mine didn't expand on a bobcat and lost the blood trail. Deer they are fine.

Shot them for years and never lost a deer. They fly true and even bad shots bleed like hell. I don't shoot that fast either (sub 300). I couldn't give a shite less about what broadheads other people shoot, but when people ask, I always recommend reapers. I've never heard a single credible bad thing about them, and that's saying something. I have some pretty impressive photos on my phone of exit holes on animals I've shot. One particular deer looks like a 12ga slug blew out of its armpit. I'll post later if you want.

I actually have heard this before. I just had a buddy get some work done by the guy in Eunice and he was very pleased. If youre comfortable at 26 then roll with it, you're maybe only talking about gaining 3 fps by bumping it up to 26.5 and youre better off being a 1/2" too short then 1/2" too long (at least in this aspect )

That's a controversial topic on here. Many believe that it's impossible for this to happen.

I know you shoot a Brute X, have you put that thing through a chrono? I know youre draw length will be short, but what's your poundage and arrow weight? Im asking because I bought my little brother the Brute X. It's an awesome bow for the money.

i have not. Im at 29" draw lenghth i believe. im shooting about 63lbs. Im shooting goldtip 5575 arrows. I love the bow, never had an issue with it. its dead on at 20, 30, and 40yrds every time i shoot it.. and thats all i need.

When i first got the bow i took it to my local shop (who is a matthews dealer) and got him to put the peep site on and paper tune it. He shot it twice and looked at it and said "what is this", and i told him... he said it was one of the smoothest bows he has shot, that he was very impressed. I dont bow hunt enough to justify spending $700 to $1000 on a bow, so i have gotten every penny out of this $350 bow

I was very impressed as well when we got my little bro's Brute in. I cant believe PSE can build a bow like that at that price point.

Also, you may want to double check that. Im not calling you a liar, but I know youre a smaller fella. Im 5' 11 1/2" and my draw length is 28.50". It should be your height in total inches divided by 2.5 rounded down to the nearest .50". That'll get you very close if you have average arm length and cant get measured properly.

KE=77ft-lbs

You should be fine, your setup is generating way more than the recommended 65lbs energy. My bow set at 60# draw is generating 64ft-lbs and it drove the Grim Reaper 2" all the way through a doe at 20yds and stuck it in the ground. I love the Reapers but was afraid I didn't have enough energy after having to get a lower draw weight. When they say "watch em drop" they're not just whistling dixie.
