I may be mistaken but I thought national average was 5 to 6 shells per dead bird. I am no crack shot with a shotgun by any means though. Gotta be honest I have a strong feeling I need to call bullshite on anyone that says they consistently kill a 15 bird limit with 15 shells. I'm impressed if ya can though

The best I've ever done was one box to kill a limit. I bought a couple boxes of #9 hi-brass shells, and I was smokin their arse. Best dove shells I've ever shot. Costs almost double what low-brass does, but they're deadly. Have great range, and knocks them dead. Very few cripples.
