I've owned a Beretta for 25+ years and love the gun. I bought a benelli m2 for one son and a browning Maxus(carbon fiber) for the other son. I must say I like the Browning the best. The ergos and recoil are awesome and is very well made. Would recommend he Browning due to price is a little better than the Beretta but both are great and the gas recoil systems are the best for recoil.
My favorite shotgun to shoot is my Remington 1100 20gauge

heat and volatile gunky residue ignited, and flames spurted out of the action like a signal flare. Once the conflagration died down, I gave the gun a quick once-over, deemed it fit for action and kept shooting. It’s worth noting that the tiny gas ports in the chamber never fouled during the trip.
I now know 5 guys with one and none have had any problems and love them. Two I know have had them for 3 seasons and will put 1 1/2 to 2 cases of shells through them a season and are very rough on their guns. They clean them 1-2 times a year usually after the season and never have had any problems.

Also, has anyone had any experience with CZ shotguns? Their handguns are great and they make an auto loader gas operated shotgun that is priced under a grand, in fact around $600 . No 3.5" but really is that necessary?

Awesome gun. I have had mine since I was 13. No telling how many rabbits and quail I have killed with it.

Mine is from the 70s and was originally bought by my dad for my mother to dove hunt. fortunately, for me, I claimed it when i got married for my wife. Mom hadn't dove hunted in years so she didn't care. About 5 years ago I needed a 20 gauge for the lower recoil; I hurt my neck and had cspine fusion surgery.
Love that 1100, have killed many of woodies and dove. It just frickin shoots them dead.
I am going to buy another 20g with a 3" capacity and interchangeable chokes soon. Not sure what o want but an 1100 is on the list with a Browning.
