I'm looking to buy a golf cart for the family just to ride around the neighborhood. What are some of the best places to go look? I'm in Mandeville area. I'm not looking to spend more than 4k. TIA.

I'd check out Bayou Buggies. They sell Club Car which is the best brand IMO and were excellent to work with....and they deliver.

Don't they sell most of their carts for 4k?

Start on Craigslist and Facebook for used.

Why gas powered? Go battery powered all day, IMO.

1) Yamaha makes the best cart
2) Gas powered for sure, they make them quiet now and they are much cheaper in the long run than buying all those batteries

When it comes time to replace, you have to replace all of them.

For outdoor use such as hunting or trail riding go gas. For cruising the street drinking uh, beverages or playing golf go electric. My opinion.

I have an electric club and my father in law has a gas. I wish mine was gas. His is faster and doesn't have to worry about battery maintenance.
