With Capt. Gray Long, the price for an overnighter is $3000 and that includes fuel. It's well worth the price, incredible experience.
You had 6 people on this trip or more? What size boat? Sorry for all the questions, just curious

herbstreit I was telling you the price for a trip that isn't guided... it was on conundrums personally owned boat...

We had eight people total (two being the captain and deckhand) and we were at Coast Guard capacity.
We rode out on a '31 Cape Horn with twin 300hp Suzukis. It's a pretty spacious and dry boat with plenty of fishing room. It was a smooth ride out and back, but the weather was perfect, only one footers the entire trip.
At one point, we had all six of us jigging while the deckhand and captain manned poles with live bait/chunk on them and didn't feel crowded at all.
Lemme know if ya have anymore questions, again, I would highly recommend going on the trip.

I was just curious on the fuel...trying to estimate what rigs Capt Gary was fishing
we made a trip from my camp in coco marina to brutus, front runner, and then marco polo and straight back from Marco Polo in a 31 Contender and burned 295 gallons on an overnighter several weeks back... Spent the nite at Marco Polo with nothing but Cudas...
Are you on the Cape Horn they keep up the road just south of Boudreaux Canal?
