Just get the single stack 50rd drum mag. The one in the Korean box works better than the others.

Question for the OB. I've owned a 43X for a while and, early on, I converted to the Shield 15-round mags with the changing of the mag release. Since the new OEM Glock mags are metal, do you think I can simply leave the Shield mag release and not worry about changing it?

that's what i plan on doing unless the Shield Arms mag release somehow doesn't jive well with the new OEM mags. if the mag has a "pinched" area for the mag catch, as shown in the pictures, instead of a cutout, it may not let the mag catch fully seat against the mag.
that's the only problem i foresee that could happen.
if that's the case, i'll just swap back to the OEM mag catch.

Don't use the shield mag release with these. The mag will jam in the gun real good

There’s a video on youtube of a guy trying, and he confirms the Shield mag release is NOT compatible.
