Thanks for the good info. My water comes up under my camp that’s built on a trailer frame. The pipe is insulated. I have a heat strip. Would I be safe to wrap that strip around the insulated pipe?
I hate to cut off the water while we’re here but understand that might be the best plan. Deer camp plumbing jobs suck.

If you’re there why not let it drip or a slow steady stream?

When we leave and they give freezing temps I drain my well and open all faucets. While there with freezing temps I leave a slow stream flowing.

We lefrt our place Friday, shut off water to the house, drained all of the lines, and have the heat on 50. I put a small heater in the pumphouse on a switch that allows power at 38 degrees.

I just moved to a new house in Covington. The house has 2 water heaters in a series and a recirculating hot water pump that I just replaced. From what I can tell, the pump runs continuously.
Do I have to do anything different? I plan to run steady stream inside and outside unless I can find the shut off valve for the outdoor ones and drain them. Well water pump.
