re: Ford has a new compact truck

Speaking of Mavericks, when I got to be driving age back in the late 70's I tried to get my mom to help me buy an early 70's Ford Maverick that someone had slipped a 351 engine in. My grandfather came with us to look at it, opened the hood and saw that engine and closed it right back and told my mom there was no way in hell she should put a 16 year old boy in that thing.

I wasn't happy at the time but he probably saved my life

I would buy these for light duty work trucks on my catfish farm simply for cheap price alone.

No matter what I buy they’ll destroy it in 3 years anyways might as well buy something cheap
