I carry every minute I am outside of my home wherever it is legal to carry.

That being said when I go for a walkin the neighborhood with the wife and kids, I am carrying. I usually wear a belly wrap to carry my .40. Comfortable and supportive. I am not sure if it would hold up to running though but probably would do well if you made sure to get one that allowed the gun to sit mostly down in the wrap.

Lots of reasons to carry protection. There are few if any arguments against carrying that would convince me otherwise. The randomness or likely hood of needing my SD weapon is not one of those reasons. I have never been in a MVA and have been driving for 20 years but I still wear my seatbelt to drive to the local convenience store too.

I used to ride bikes and run on some trails here in LR by the river. It's a popular place with many people and me and a buddy got targeted. I won't run or ride there without carrying.

So I say good question. Interested in what some do.

ETA for some details. I, along with a buddy, parked my truck at a walking bridge and took off walking/ running. Well this is where the scum mark you as a target. They see you are away from your vehicle and hit you when you are a good distance away. I was 3 miles away from my truck at the time. Luckily I had my phone on me and made a quick call before it got terrible.

What sweating clothing item would they really want? Cause that's all I have when I run. For a while I did run with mace when some neighbors had a pair of Russian wolfhounds that were batshit crazy and there was also a pack of dogs in the woods. Those days are gone and I'm not going running with my phone.

I don't know about yall, but im not really "winded" when im running. If someone tried to approach me on foot, im fairly certain I could outrun them for a longer period of time than them. If they approach in car, they would have to follow me across the ditch and through whatever yards I was near.

In short, If you are scared to run without a gun, go run around a bunch of other people. Carrying a gun while running is quite silly, if you ask me.

I asked myself "Self, is you being paranoid?" and I the answer was "no"

Honestly this last year and the political movements in this country are what convinced me to carry. I strongly believe it is not only my right and but my duty to protect myself and my family at all times. I am not looking to be a vigilante by any means and I would rather call authorities to handle situations when possible, but we all know this is not always feasible. To that point as an able bodied responsible gun owner, God fearing man, and ethical human I have also decided that I have a certain responsibility to society also. As much as we all joined in the argument that gun free zones are more dangerous than areas allowing responsible citizens to exercise their rights I had to live what I was preaching. It does no good if none of the citizens are exercising those rights because they are worried about being labeled paranoid.

that's all cool and all. And I carry in my truck and stuff... But while you're running? Come on man!! If you're scared to get your phone taken from you, do like real runners and run without music. If you have to have music, get one of those ipod nanos. Much easier to carry than a gun

When in my prime, given the choice of running through Desire Project or not running, I'd be hoofing it through the DP.

I don't run. When you do you leave the ground between steps. If humans were intended to be airborne we would have been given wings. It is just too hard on the knees.

There are 3 essential truths of big guys:

They don't run (at least not for long)
They don't float
They don't appreciate big gals the way big gals appreciate big guys

I was about to start running again. Not anymore. Danger averted.

THIS is the answer!

Like a truck, the human body only has so many miles it'll go. Why use them all up like that?
