This may be getting into OB Fishing Map territory, but if you keep bank fishing Ramah, drive further south down that levee road (18-20 miles). The water on your left side will get wider when you get closer to a small levee landing near Pat's Bay. Fishing should be much better between that boat launch and the canals running back to Pat's Bay. If you go too far, you'll hit blacktop road and Bayou Sorrel boat launch.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely give that a shot, although 18-20 miles is a hell of a long drive down a levee road.

If you want to stay on black top, it's actually a shorter trip if you take HWY 75 out of Plaquemine, follow the Intracoastal waterway, cross the Bayou Sorrel bridge, and turn right. You'll only be on dirt roads for a mile or two.

Can you actually drive on the levee road? I remember it being marked with "No Trespassing" signs.

There are two roads all the way from HWY 190 to Morgan City - one on top of the levee, and one on the bottom of the levee (HWY 70 past Pierre Part). Do NOT drive on the top of the levee. The "No Trespassing" signs are usually for the roads going over the levees to loading docks, etc.

Thanks, I'll definitely go this route when I head that way.

It said no trespassing, but there were others driving on it so I did too.
