My buddy getting married in April is wanting to do a fishing weekend for his bachelor party sometime around February. I'm not very familiar on South LA fishing, so figured the OB would be the best place to come.

Looking for a place not too far from NOLA for folks who live here or flying in to have easy travel. I've looked at camps on AirBnB but not sure about other sites or ways to find them. Would like to be able to fish off docks if possible, but open to getting a charter, so recs on that would be great, too. TIA.

Rental in Grand Isle on beach for surf fishing or bay for pier fishing. Also could charter a bowfishing trip in Leeville with midnight blue bowfishing. We rented a camp at the beginning of the island for $600 for 2 nights. Slept 12, on the beach, and walking distance to the big public bridge/pier. Also walking distance to Bridgeside Marina. Rental was named Pompano House.

Take a tuna charter out of Venice. I've used this one before and it was a blast

ETA - their camps were furnished like nice hotels too. Not sure what it costs. Vendors took us.

We did this exact thing for my bachelor party several years ago. We went with Cajun Unlimited out of Venice. Had a camp right at the Marina, fished with them and hung out Saturday night at the bar by the marina. We had a great time and caught a bunch of fish.

Venice Fishing Lodge

We went fishing for Reds this past July and it was amazing!

The owner contracts with Cabelas and he has an on-site chef that cooks breakfast and dinner for you every day!

However, the best is... Unlimited beer supply- no extra charge- as long as its drunk in the Lodge
