your hometown Academy may vary...my local one tells you when their trucks come in.

Slidell (Tues.& Thurs)

They open at 9am, but the neckbeards gun shop owners and pawn brokers get there for 6am to get a number to hold their place in line.

I show up at 830 and usually end up with a number in the 30's ... so depending on how much they get in (you can see through the front doors) with a 2 boxes per person limit, you may not be in the game, so I just leave.

They had 3 20rd boxes of 300 blk for 21.99 I should have bought...but said frick it, that is too high.

They have/may still have 7 boxes of Winchester 5.56 m193 200 rd boxes for $119ea

I saw about 6 boxes of S&B 9mm at Jims in BR, for $27.99 a box. I was looking for something more obscure (9mm Largo or Steyr), they didn't have any. They did have some 7.63 Mauser, which I picked up in a prior trip.

When I saw the 9x19, I asked how much, and the counter guy said 'sky high'. We laughed, and I said no thanks, I have a few cases of that still unopened.
But, it's there, if someone wants to brave the traffic.

In another observation, they had about 15 total handguns in the display cases. Whatever is happening to push the market, it's still in full effect there.
