Dont the Euromallards have a larger neck and head? We shot a ton this years compared to the last few years in CenLa. But interesting study forsure.

Supposedly the massive amount of cans is due to it being a delicacy at yankee restaurants way back and they overbred the frick out of them. However, I'm not complaining.

To hell with greenheads, that ship done sailed. We should all be building and installing black bellied whistling duck nest boxes to increase what we have. They taste better, fly slower and easier to call than mallards.

Sorry for the back to back post, but aren't they messing with wood duck nesting areas? I do agree they should be shootable in early teal as they have been all over the place the last few years on teal hunts. At least ok as incidentals.

1992 was the last time I shot wigeon. 1996 was the time I shot mallards. It’s over.

There were a ton of widgeons and mallards this year in CenLa. I was shocked as I hadn't shot a widgeon in like 8 years.
