Has anyone been affected?

I'm in Lafayette and have two ash trees at different locations. One has no signs of trouble.

The other shows some damage at the base, but I'm not sure if it's from weedeaters and other borers. I do not see any D shaped holes on it.

I've treated both in the last couple of weeks with Bayer Tree & Shrub.

Not yet but I expect trouble down the line.

If you have the Emerald Ash Borer in Lafayette, then the rest of the state is screwed.

Likely that it's other damage since by all accounts it is currently confined to 10 parishes in North Louisiana, but if you suspect it's the borer, best to get it looked at by a professional. If the borer has made it to Lafayette, ash trees are doomed in Louisiana.
