I have been looking at electronic predator calls for coyote hunting but have no expertise in this field. Browsing through the selection on Bass Pro they vary in price range from $150 - $750. I was hoping to find something in the $250 range. Any OB recommendations on this?

I have an icotec Sabre $300. We have killed 90 coyotes this year calling with it. We are regularly able to call them in from +1200yds.

Don't fall for the $200 small speaker calls like the fox pro inferno. You need something with some speaker size for volume to pull them in sometimes.

My lucky duck super revolt arrives this week...that should be next level too.

That picture was taken in thibodaux.
Thermal is Pulsar thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro

All these kills were called in with the icotec Youtube

These videos show what a good call can do. These come in from 1000+ yds.
- two we called in from 1200yds two nights ago Instagram Facebook
- these come from the treeline at 1500yds Instagram

I have a Primos Alpha Dogg that works really good. Has a motion decoy that you can set up away from the speakers and work independently of the speaker. Also comes programmed with some turkey sounds that will really draw the birds in. That’s for entertainment purposes only though of course.

Doesn't mean shite when they are 500 yards away

We use fox pro, it works. Just depends on your need/use. I am seriously considering your thermal for my grendel.

Depends on terrain. Biggest field we call in is 200acres. Mostly try to pull dogs out of thickets and ditch banks. Foxpro inferno does great.

+1200 at night?

Don't think so. Not a set of optics known to man cam see clearly that far at night.

Not sure what you are trying to point out here. I'm stating that due to the larger sized call we are able to call them from further distances when there aren't any close by. We hunt massive crop fields and I know it's not most people's situation.

If you are calling on 200 acres why not be able to pull them in from far away once you kill all the ones on your own property. But sure the smaller calls will work fine for that size property.

It might be for sale soon. I've had it on my Grendel and liked it.

Read my post again. We call them in from 1200+.

When coyotes pop out at 1200yds they are a blob, definitely not clear. After years of thermal hunting I can tell they are coyotes by the way they move at 1000yds. By 800 yards I can ID them or deer/pigs. All of that on clear low humidity nights on fields cut to the ground. Hell sometimes deer are bunched up and they look like pigs at 500yds until one picks its head up
