I worked construction in the summers in high school and college and you eventually get used to the heat.

I just changed all the blades and blade plate inside of a commercial shred truck....outside. Sweating my dick off and covered in shred paper dust.

I split time in the oilfield and on my uncle's farm for 3 years before I moved in to a cushy office job, so I can relate. Back then, I could eat wtf I wanted and never worry. Now I have to watch it because 10 hours a day behind a desk will make you soft.

i've gotten used to it everywhere except the furniture factory. it was the first "real" job i had. the temp in there was unfrickingbearable.

I also work in a warehouse. Out of the direct sunlight, but the humidity is absolutely unbelievable. Good thing I'm starting a new construction job next week!

I get used to heat, but it only bothers me when I go from sweating my arse off to air condition and back and forth all day.

I paid my dues in high school and college. Worked at UPS at night unloading and loading trucks and in a warehouse. I sit in an office most of the day...occasionally will go walk to the main office about 300 yards away.

I agree with that. I'd rather stay drenched all day

Same here, but I also go out into a laydown yard and inside to an air conditioned room. So it goes from sweating your arse off to sitting in a 70 degree room soaking wet then back
into the humidity all day.

we were in direct sunlight. the building itself was a clusterfrick. that aluminum heats up like nothing else and we only had one loading bay in our part of the warehouse.
