Here's an easy way to check. Hold it up and see how the string, rest, and sights all line up. They should be very close to all being in the same plane (i.e. they should all pretty much line up). If something is a good bit out of line, your bow needs to be paper tuned. The string is straight. The rest and sights should both line up pretty close with it.

That's what my brother's shooting now, and I like it. He's about to go get it turned up to 75lbs. Mines drawing 66lbs, I thought about turning it up to 70 but it wouldn't be fun to shoot more than 10 arrows or at a time

IIRC they all line up pretty well. It's not a terrible bow, I've just shot better ones and now I've got the fever I guess

I'll never get rid of it, if my dad doesn't want to shoot it when I get a new one it's gonna be converted to a bowfishing rig

what's iirc?

And you probably just need some practice. A properly tuned bow should shoot well no matter how old it is.

IMO, I would make the best out of what you have and save up for a Matthews. I've shot several different models and they are the absolute tits.

Waste of money IMO.

But that's just my opinion.

My dad shoots a diamond stud and I like it more than any matthew's I've ever shot. My brother shoots a bear (not sure what model) that I also like more.

They are VERY nice, but I just don't see them being worth the extra coin. They don't do anything that a bow for half the price can't do.

If I recall correctly

It groups well when I start to shoot, and my groups progressively get worse...from fatigue I'm sure. I'll just keep practicing.

One of my bro's friends just bought one and he said he loves it. I just could never drop that much on one bow. My buddy just bought a bowtech assassin and I like it, but I'm not sure if I'd even spend that much. I really like my brother's Bear charge, and I'm looking hard at the Bear Strike. I'm definitely not getting anything else until I get a bow season under my belt and see how much I use it first.

It's REALLY hard to do, but you should probably limit your shooting to 10-15 shots every day. They are fun as frick to shoot and it's hard to stop, but you're not going to shoot more arrows at a deer than your quiver can hold.

I'll never own one. I think you pay alot extra for the name printed on the side. I personally cannot shoot a well set up matthews better than a well set up diamond, bear, PSE, or anything else. If you got the coin and that's what you want though, then by all means get one. They are badass machines.
