Catahoula got 15 inch cracks in the dry mud and gonna be watered by rain due to some problems north in columbia so wood ducks, a few. Big ducks...no. Been seeing some teal zooming around down around Belle Chasse but they prolly just been hangin out.

SETX opener today.

Introduction of GWT and pintail were the only changes from teal-only season. We got limits but it took a while…felt like teal season part deux

Long story short: no cold fronts to push northern birds down.

Yesterday evening setting out a goose spread we saw several thousand ducks and a few hundred specks. This morning less of each but still a decent number for the time of year.
